GivingBAck 2019
During the month of Iyar Bnei Akiva held its annual fundraising campaign. This year we held 16 campaigns in different places around the world, collectively raising over 6,000,000 shekels for Bnei Akiva.
One of the campaigns, “The Ethiopian Campaign”, enabled us to establish a Bnei Akiva Machane this summer in Gondar, Ethiopia. It will be run by a group of our bogrim with the goal of strengthening Ethiopian Jewry waiting to make Aliyah, and to instill the values of the Torah and Avodah with the youth and the community. We thank our partners in the challenge of bringing the remaining Ethiopian Jews to Israel – מטה המאבק להעלאת יהודי אתיופיה, and the Zera Israel Foundation.
מחזירים אהבה לבני עקיבא
במהלך חודש אייר עלו 16 קמפיינים מרחבי העולם לאוויר, כאשר יחד הצלחנו לגייס למעלה מ- 6,000,000 ש"ח למען בני עקיבא.
בין הקמפיינים בלט - "קמפיין אתיופיה" אשר מטרתו הקמת מחנה בני עקיבא בקיץ הקרוב בגונדר. למחנה תצא קבוצה ממיטב בוגרינו, במטרה לחזק את ידם של יהודי אתיופיה הממתינים לעלייה ולהנחיל לנוער ולקהילה את ערכי התורה והעבודה.

The World Council
The World Bnei Akiva World Council gathered for two full days earlier this year to discuss the movements strategic planning for the coming years. Among other things, the members of the Council discussed the future of shlichut, programs in Israel, and working with alumni in Israel and around the world.

Returning Shlichim
World Bnei Akiva wishes to extend our sincere thanks to our dear shlichim who are completing their shlichut this summer. We thank you for the packed days and sleepless nights you have given to the Jewish people on your missions to Jewish communities around the world. On behalf of the World Movement wish you much success as you continue your path upon your return to Israel.

Leil Shavuot
On Shavuot night, the World Bnei Akiva offices in Jerusalem shone bright, and the sounds of Torah learning could be heard all down King George Street.
More than 200 olim together with Hachshara participants took part in a variety of shiurim in several languages and took the time to study in our active Beit Midrash in the Mizrachi hall. The night ended with Vatikin at the Kotel. Our opening speaker was popular media personality Sivan Rahav-Meir, who had the hall overflowing with people to take part in the program.
ליל שבועות
בחג השבועות במשרדי התנועה התקיים תיקון ליל שבועות לעולים הבוגרים ולמשתתפי ההכשרות. לתיקון החגיגי, שנמשך עד אור הבוקר ונחתם בתפילת ותיקין בכותל, הגיעו למעלה מ-200 בוגרים וחניכי התנועה שהשתתפו במגוון שיעורי תורה במספר שפות. את התיקון פתחה סיון רהב-מאיר וב"ה האולם היה צר מלהכיל את כל הבאים.
