Hezbollah killed three Israeli soldiers and kidnapped two others, while firing on the Galilee. Israel was forced to infiltrate Lebanon to wipe out Hezbollah. The war lasted around one month. The captured soldiers were killed by succumbing to their wounds, and their bodies were exchanged two years later for 200 Lebanese and Palestinian militants's bodies, four Lebanese militants, and one prisoner charged for the murders of a father and child.
