Welcome to World Bnei Akiva's Hachshara Application Form.

Here you can apply to one of our amazing programs.

read THE guidelines carefully before

starting to fill out the form.

These guidelines will help you prepare for and simplify the application process.

  • This application form is made up of six sections;

    1. About you

    2. About your family

    3. About your education

    4. Questionnaire section

    5. References and contacts in Israel

    6. Section for uploading documents and registration fee payment.

  • The application must be filled out by the applicant, and in his/her name. Some sections need parents/legal guardians interaction as well.

  • If you intend to apply to more than one of our Hachshara programs, it is recommended you apply to them all at the same time. The form allows you to select more than one program.

  • When you apply you will be asked to provide an email address. Please provide an email address that you will check regularly, as the program/s you apply to will be using the email address you provide in order to communicate with you.

  • You do not need to complete the entire form all at once. You can save your progress by clicking the 'Save for later' button, which is found at the bottom of each section, in order to return to it at a later time. To be on the safe side, please click this button whenever you intend to leave the section you are in.

  • If you do not have the necessary information to complete a mandatory field you may type in the phrase "information not available" in order to complete the field.

  • You will need to upload a recent passport photo of yourself in section one of the form. The photo needs to be in jpg or png format. Please have it available when you start applying. Please note: A passport photo does not mean a picture of scan of your actual passport.

  • In section three you will need to upload your most recent high school transcripts/school reports/grades/eduction certificates, going back the past two years. Please scan and save as PDF, and then upload in section three.

  • In section four you will need to submit an essay that we require you to write as part of this application. The essay must be at least 250 words long, but no more than 300 words long. We recommend that you write your essay in a separate text editor (like Word or Pages) and then paste the text into this online form, at the bottom of section four, once your essay is complete. Choose from one of these three subjects to write about:

    • Why my Jewish identity is important to me

    • What the Land of Israel / State of Israel means to me

    • How I think that the State of Israel can be more of a light unto the nations

  • In section five (references) we are asking you for names and contact details of two Bnei Akiva bogrim, madrichim or shlichim who are willing to act as your referee; or other person active in your Jewish community. Make sure you ask for their permission before you give us their details. We will be contacting them separately, asking for their references about you directly.

  • In section six you will need to upload three different forms that we ask you to print and complete. Once they have been completed, please scan and save as PDF so you can upload them in section six. The forms you need to complete are:

You may be asked to complete the Medical Form again at a later time, should a partner organization (ie. MDA/ MARVA) so require.

  • In section six you will need to upload your immunization/vaccination records. Please scan and save as PDF, and then upload.

  • In section six you will need to pay the registration fee of US$100 in order to submit the form. The form will not be submitted to us without you paying the registration fee first. Our payment processor is PayPal, however, you do not need a PayPal account to process the fee. You can do so with most credit cards, via the PayPal processing.

  • What happens after you submit your application? After we receive your application, you’ll be invited for an interview with a representative of World Bnei Akiva. Your interview allows them to get to know you a bit better and assess your suitability for the program. It will also give you the opportunity to ask them any specific questions you may have. Shortly after the interview, you’ll be informed of your acceptance. Your place will be confirmed and flight booked only after a payment plan has been agreed upon.

We look forward to receiving your application!
