Eli Cohen, was an Egyptian-born Israeli spy. He developed relationships with the Syrian leaders. Eventually the Syrian government caught him sending messages to Israel, and he was put to trial and hanged. His reports greatly helped Israel, especially with the capture of the Golan Heights during the Six Day War.
