CHILE
"Maguen Hador" is a religious Zionist youth movement in Chile. The movement was founded in 2008 and has one branch in the capital city, Santiago where activities take place on Sunday mornings.
The values of the movement include connecting the youth to their Judaism and strengthening the Jewish connection with the people, Torah, and land of Israel, all according to the words of Rabbi Akiva: "Derech Eretz Kadma laTorah".
The movement holds weekly activities, as well as summer camps, seminars, and training for guides. Since 2021, Bnei Akiva World adopted "Maguen Hador" as its own youth movement in Chile and began working in partnership with the movement's emissaries in Chile.
The movement currently has about 150 members and a guidance team of 25 guides. The members are accompanied by the Lieber family, emissaries of Bnei Akiva in Santiago.
World Bnei Akiva contact person for Chile is Yonatan Lieber.
