Rav Ari Faust
London, United Kingdom
Rav Ari is the Rav Shaliach and lives in London with his wife Chaya and daughters Maya, Gali and Noa. He started his shlichut in 2013.
“I work closely with the Mazkirut, directing and advising them in running Bnei Akiva nationwide, especially in creating educational content. I also run informal educational and social programming for bogrim and sixth-formers, including weekly shiurim in schools and homes.
As the movement’s rabbi I want to bring a taste of Torat Eretz Yisrael to the UK and help to provide religious direction to the movement and its members. Our home in Edgware is a ‘bayit cham’, and we regularly host chaverim for a meal, a shiur or just a chat.”
Benaya & Ma’ayan Cohen
Manchester, United Kingdom
Benaya and Ma’ayan are our Northern Shlichim, based in Manchester. They started their shlichut in autumn 2016. Click to see their amazing video as they prepared to leave on their Shlichut.
"We work to promote Bnei Akiva and Israel across schools, campuses and throughout the community, as well as supporting our svivot in Manchester and Leeds. With the Mazkirut based in London, we are the central address for the movement’s needs in the North, and often run activities across other northern communities.
At the heart of the Bnei Akiva community is the Manchester Bayit, located in Salford, which also serves as a community centre for many Zionist organisations. As well as the hundreds of chanichim and madrichim who grow up at the Bayit attending sviva and events, we also run a popular Shabbat minyan which regularly attracts a full house, and is renowned for its amazing ruach on Friday nights and the Yamim Noraim. The Bayit is also the home of the Shlichim – and we invite you to join us for a meal or a schmooze soon!”
